GOOSE EYE BREWERY

Picture
The brewery
Goose Eye Brewery is named after the hamlet of the same name near Oakworth. Jack and Linda Atkinson established the brewery in 1991, and are still involved in the business, although the brewing is now managed by their son Dave.  Dave's sons, Joe and Jack, also work at Goose Eye, making it a true family-run brewery.

What beers are here?
Goose Eye brews 7 regular beers including the popular Chinook Blonde (4.2%), Goose Eye Bitter (4%) and the brewery's response to a market flooded with Australian lager: Pommie's  Revenge, a 5.2% strong single malt bitter.  Wonkey Donkey, a pale  amber bitter with a fruity finish, is available in bottles.  T-shirts and glasses are available direct from the brewery.

Where to try
Regular outlets for Goose Eye include The Old White Lion in Haworth, The Friendly at Stanbury, The Rose and Crown at Slaithwaite and the Blue Pig in Hebden Bridge.  Wonkey
Donkey
is available from Keelham Farm Shop.

Did you know?
Dave passes the malt mash to a local farmer to feed to his pigs.  Beery sausages anyone?!
