BRIDGEHOUSE BREWERY

The brewery
Tucked away on the slopes of the Worth Valley, Bridgehouse Brewery started life as 1980's Ryburn Brewery in Sowerby Bridge. Harold Coburn - the brewer at Ryburn - moved with the brewery's new management Mark Kelly and Martin Fuller to its current mill site in 2010 and using water from a moorland spring, continues to brew with passion and enthusiasm.
What beers are here?
Bridgehouse brews eight core beers, with seasonal additions such as Pumpkin Beer and Rudolph's Ruin. Also available is Heathcliff stout (5%) and Stokers Bitter (3.9%) - confirming the brewery's links to the Bronte countryside and Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. No bottled beers yet, but look out for t-shirts and glasses.
Where to try
Bridgehouse beers can be found across the North at branches of Wetherspoons, including The White Hart in Todmorden. Other places to try include the Airedale Heifer in Sandbeds and The Willow Tree in Riddlesden.
Did you know?
Brewing takes place in the evenings at Bridgehouse - a necessity due to the demands placed on the power supply by the other mill businesses during the day!
